      EVENT DETAILS
      Dainton Brewery Event

Using the only decent Christmas present his mum ever gave him – a home brew kit in 2008 – Dan Dainton started his brewing saga punching out some pretty horrible tasting home-brews from his shed in Brunswick West.

In fact the first beer was so bad that it was called the Filthy Lager or 'Flager'. The beers eventually started getting better as Dan was fired by his uncle from his sales job and started working in a home-brew shop. The mission was clear: learn how to make the best beer possible. With help from the guys at the shop and teachings from the Federation Uni brewing course the beers started to go from fairly offensive to quite drinkable.

Safe to say...the rest is a long story. Hear it from the man himself and his trusty sidekick Pete Shortis as they take you through four singularly impressive beers including two as yet unreleased numbers - a single hop IPA called 'Stratasphere and a Sangria Sour', along with a maple bacon ice-cream pancake ale and a mocha chocca New England black rye IPA.

This is about as experimental as beer gets, and it comes with rave reviews. And in this case, cheese.

Milk the Cow's cheesemongers will match each of these unique brews to its perfect fromage pairing in a guided flight set to light up your imagination and palate.

One night only in the Grenier Room.

      Cost: 55.00
